I am deeply grateful to have gotten the opportunity to share an often-overlooked black narrative at the North Carolina Conference for Social Studies. Engaging with professors and early education teachers across diverse regions of North Carolina provided valuable insights into the incorporation of black stories and culture within their curricula. Through these conversions, I discovered the gaps in representation within classrooms and identified those most in need of support through book donations. The experience was enlightening, highlighting the crucial role of diverse stories in fostering an inclusive educational environment.
